Health
"If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee." (Exodus 15:26)

God has promised his people that by obeying the laws of health found in the Bible, we will not be prone to the diseases of the world. It is only by the violation of the eigth laws of health that we become susceptible to illnesses. It is easy to remember these eight principles. N.E.W. S.T.A.R.T. is acronym for Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest, and Trust... (Click for other health related articles, information, and natural remedies.)

Nutrition
God told man to eat of every tree in the garden as well as herb bearing seed. There is no better eating program than a plant-based diet.

Exercise
God told man to care for the garden. A brisk walk for at least 30 minutes is some of the best exercise for the body.

Water
God made pure good water for many purposes, and to satisfy thirst of man, animals, plants. Even though there are no nutrients in water it is needed most in the body.

Sunshine
God made the sunshine to warm the earth and benefit all life forms. Sunshine produces Vitamin D in the body. The best times to be outside in the sun are before 10am and after 3pm. The ultraviolet rays are most harmful between the hours of 10am and 3pm.

Temperance
God restricted a tree in the garden to see if man would love and obey Him. Even a good thing can be harmful to the body if abused. Be moderate in all things.

Air
God made fresh air in the beginning for the benefit of all.

Rest
God gave the Sabbath day to rest from all common labor, and enjoy worshipping God and He made the night for sleeping. The body on average needs eight consecutive hours of sleep. Any hour of sleep before 12 midnight can be counted as two hours of sleep.

Trust in Divine Power
Man was to love and trust God who made all things great and small. Trusting in Jesus fully as Saviour and Redeemer will bring true peace to one's life. A CHALLENGE: Spend a thoughtful hour a day on the closing scenes of the life of Jesus for a week or two and discover how closer you become to Him.
